Every asset identified.
Every move clearer.
Bring greater visibility to inventory and asset management with Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). Identify items, track movement, and capture data without scanning each label individually.
How does RFID work?
Three connected components turn physical items into useful digital information.
An identity for every item
An electronic tag combines a chip and an antenna. Attached to a product or asset, it carries an identifier that can be linked to its record in your system.
Wireless data capture
The reader communicates with tags using radio waves. A suitable setup can read multiple tags without requiring a direct line of sight.
Information for better decisions
Read events are sent to software to update inventory or record asset movements, based on the reading points and integrations configured.
Less manual entry.
More everyday control.
With the right tags, readers, and reading points for your environment, RFID helps speed up data capture and reduce reliance on manual entry.
- Smoother stocktakingRead groups of items instead of scanning each barcode individually.
- Visibility at key checkpointsRecord items as they pass equipped reading points within your facility.
- Connect data to your operationsIntegrate with compatible inventory and asset management systems.
The right solution starts
with your environment.
Asset type, reading distance, movement speed, and the presence of metal or liquids all affect tag and reader selection.
Define your goal first, then test the solution under real operating conditions before scaling up.

What do you need to know?
How is RFID different from barcodes?
Barcodes use optical scanning and generally require the code to be visible. RFID uses radio waves and can support reading multiple tags without a direct line of sight. The right choice depends on the application, cost, and operating environment; both technologies can also work together.
Can tags be read from any distance?
No. Read range depends on the technology, tag, reader, antenna, operating settings, and surrounding environment. The appropriate distance is established through project requirements and on-site testing.
Does RFID work with metal and liquids?
Metal and liquids can affect reading performance, particularly in some UHF applications. Specialized tags or adjustments to tag placement and antennas may be needed, followed by testing on site.
Does RFID provide a live location for every item?
Traditional systems record items at reading points. Continuous location tracking requires a system and equipment designed to support it; adding an RFID tag alone does not provide this capability.
